Inspiration: Saw these flowers at the Dallas Arboretum in Dallas, Texas. It was a beautiful sunny Spring day and many of the flowers there were in full bloom and enjoying the sun’s rays.  This painting was executed around a time period when I was intrigued with Henri Matisse and his bold and vibrant use of colors in his paintings.  I attempted incorporating some of this effect in this particular work of art.
